This natural treasure comes from the bees. It provides a natural dose of vitamin A and moisturises the lips. It is also antibacterial and provides support against the cold. 
A lot of skin care products (including lip balms) have cosmetic mineral oil as a base ingredient.
This of course sounds very good at first, but the opposite is true. Cosmetic mineral oils are actually waste products from the petroleum industry. You can recognise them by their names:

Microcrystalline Wax
Petrolatum (found in Vaseline)  
Paraffinum Subliquidum 
Cera Microcristallina (found in Labello) .
